Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems there are no Reasons for the State Authorities to be satisfied regarding the Social-Economic State of the Country.
Giving answers on the journalists´ questions during the press-conference on Wednesday in Ivano-Frankivsk regarding his office of the Verkhovna Rada Chairman, he declared: "It is yet early to speak about the achievements. The only fact is that the development of political events in Ukraine was at least forecasted."
"It was rather complicated to preserve work in the Parliament that actually had not be acting since year 2006 as the power system was unbalanced, we worked with the imperfect laws and total absence of the political dialogue", - V. Lytvyn proclaimed.
"Speaking on the social state of people, there are no reasons to be proud of. It concerns all the high-ranking authorities, - the Head of the Parliament declared. Dignitaries often are not ready for those challenges that the country faces they, unfortunately usually fail to solve vital problems of national and regional importance."
V. Lytvyn emphasized that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is supposed to play stabilizing role in the course of the election campaign, "as it is obvious that the biggest problem may start after 17 January."
Giving the answers to the question on Party of Region, Victor Yanukovych statement regarding the fact if the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine incapacitation is proved, the possibility of pre-termed Parliamentary elections is high on 30 May 2010, V. Lytvyn declared: "First of all, the Party of Regions should prove its readiness to work and then the Verkhovna Rada will work as watches."
The Leader of the Parliament also reminded that the People´s Deputies used to scrutinize the Bill on majority system of local elections but no one, except Lytvyn bloc, upheld it.
